Welcome back to Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you all had a beautiful Easter break with friends and family. What a busy term ahead! We started off our week listening to all the great things the children did on their holidays. Lots of camping stories and fun days at the movies seemed to be the highlight for many preps. Last week we had our whole school cross country and Ryan came first! He ran an amazing race - well done Ryan. All of the preps tried so hard and we were very proud of their efforts. We also looked at the meaning of ANZAC Day and participated in whole school and classroom ANZAC activities. During our Friday rotations the preps got busy making delicious ANZAC biscuits. We were entertained on Thursday with a puppet show on the 7 natural physicians. The preps enjoyed this immensely. We've also started getting ready for our Mother's Day Morning Tea. The classroom is a buzz with lots of activity and ideas to share with our Mums on this special day. Until then 'MUMS' the word!

A look at Term 1

The End of Term 1

We have had such a busy start to the school year. We began term 1 by getting to know all of our new friends and our way around our new school. Our classroom discussions have been focused around lots of different topics. Throughout the school term we have looked at our classroom and school respect rules, pets, animals, safety and Easter. We have also been very busy in our prep garden. Throughout the term we have been very busy planting new vegetables and doing a fantastic job of taking care of them. We've enjoyed looking at how much our vegetables have grown each week and we've even been so lucky as to make a yummy salad using some of the ingredients from our garden. We've also had lots of visits from Sister Jenny this term. Sister Jenny comes and visits us very Thursday to teach us about social skills. We sing lots of songs with Sister Jenny and she always reads us great stories. The class enjoy listening to many stories. One of our classroom favourites is Mrs Wishy Washy. We had lots of fun reading this story together and acting it out. The end of term 1 came around so quickly. Throughout the term we fare welled Kloe and welcomed Niko into a class.
