What a very busy couple of weeks the Possums have had getting ready for their Mother's Day Tea Party! Over the past few weeks our mums have been the topic of conversation. We've had several discussions about our mums' likes and interests. After all of our brainstorming, we decided to turn the classroom into a place where all our Mums love to go - a coffee shop! The Possums got very busy listing all of the things they needed to make. So began the decorating and constructing of all the items needed to make our classroom look as special as our mums are to us.
The Possum Cafe had it all - table runners, flowers, menus, cakes, scones, shortbread, tarts, biscuits - all made by the children!
The day finally arrived for mums to visit. We were so excited and couldn't wait to perform and show them our beautiful portraits of them. We sang a great song about LOVE to our mums and served them ice tea in our personally designed coffee mug.
Thank you to all our Mums who were able to join us for our 'Mother's Day Tea Party' at the Possum Cafe. We had such a fun morning and we wish you a beautiful and relaxing Mother's Day on Sunday!
